Mixing Terpenes with Topicals
Topical application is among the many methods that we use both terpenes and cannabis. Cannabis topicals are often used independently, but there are products out there that combine these topicals with terpenes for added benefits. Cannabinoids work better together, in groups, and the same can be said for terpenes.
What Makes Terpenes So Great For Topicals?
When you use our botanically-derived terpenes that are solvent-less, GMO-free, and free of any fillers, you’re using the purest, and most realistic, scent possible. That’s because terpenes are the organic hydrocarbons already found in most plants. They’re what actually create the scents and flavors that imitation scents are mimicking.
Your skin is your most valuable protection against the outside world. However, it can also be a way of letting healing elements in. Our skin is lipophilic, which means that it allows oils to be absorbed with relative ease.
Terpenes and cannabinoids are also lipophilic. So by adding them to your products , as we do with cannabis topicals, you get a great method of application. Once the cannabis topical has permeated the skin, the terpenes and cannabinoids will be absorbed into the bloodstream.
