How to fill CBD Carts

Vaping has become one of the most popular ways to use CBD. It may also be the best way to consume CBD. It is one of the fastest-acting methods and when you use a CBD vape, more of the CBD enters your system, compared to edibles or topicals. It also shouldn’t cause many of the health problems that are linked to smoking.

How to find a good-quality cart

Here are 3 things to keep in mind when trying to find a high-quality vape cartridge.

  • Lab testing. CBD products can be of dubious quality sometimes, so reputable brands have begun offering lab tests, showing the different amounts of CBD, THC, and other compounds.

  • Broad Spectrum vs. Isolate. Broad-spectrum CBD contains several cannabinoids[1], in the belief they will be more effective together. Isolate contains only CBD in a more concentrated form.

  • Choose Terpenes. The artificial flavorings are the compounds most likely to cause health problems so always make sure you choose 100% natural Terp Topia Terpenes

Filling CBD carts

1. Filling Instructions:

• Cartridge must be upright when filling the reservoir with oil

• Do not fill into the middle post, or severe leaks will occur. Insert a blunt-tipped needle into the space between the airway + the outer wall of the cartridge and fill with 0.5ml of oil.

• Recommended Fill Temperature Between 30° - 50° C

• Do not overfill or allow oil to enter the center way

• If cleaning/wiping down cart: Use a diluted mixture of 50% or less alcohol, and water

• Do not leave any silicone caps on the tip or base of the cart when capping.

• Do not flip cartridge upside down, carts must remain upright.

• If using pliers, cushion jaws with cloth or tape to prevent damage.

• Failure to insert the mouthpiece immediately may cause leakage.

+ Fill up to Silver Band

+ Do not fill past the 4 holes on the middle post

2. After Filling:

Immediately after filling, insert + press the mouthpiece until fully sealed. Mechanical assistance, such as an Arbor press or channel lock pliers are required to fully seal the mouthpiece.

• Do not leave any silicone caps on the tip or base of the cart when capping.

• Do not flip cartridge upside down, CCELLs must remain upright.

• If using pliers, cushion jaws with cloth or tape to prevent damage.

• Failure to insert the mouthpiece immediately may cause leakage.

• If cleaning/wiping down cart: Use a diluted mixture of 50% or less alcohol, and water

3. Caution

• If overfilled when press-fitting the mouthpiece, the oil will overflow and drip down into the cartridge. Wipe with alcohol immediately.

• If overfilled, cartridges exposed to high temperatures than during filling, will cause the oil in the cartridge to expand and leak.

• If ANY leaks are experienced, for any cartridges filled after leaking cartridge, flip the cartridge upside down after filling to purge more air.

• ANY OIL RESIDUE left in the area of the cartridge where the tip is pressed on may cause the tip to pop back up.

• Warranty is void if filling instructions are not followed.

4. Usage:

Please wait at least 30 minutes before using to allow the atomizer to saturate for the

best vapor production.

5. General Problems with CBD Carts

CBD crystalizing

· CBD carts will crystalize over time if the CBD concentration is over the critical point which tends to be 60-80%.

· You can solve this by using a Viscosity booster which effectively brings down the CBD % in your cart.

· You can also add another compound like CBG to bring down your total CBD % without cutting your initial 90%+ CBD distillate with something else than cannabinoids & terpenes

Carts Leaking:

· Over filling carts will cause them to leak into the center column and will also come out the bottom of your carts

· Diluting your distillate too much will also increase the chance of leakage as the oil can become too thin

· Distillate that is overheated (30-55C) when injected

Carts tasting burnt:

· Dry Hit - Your liquid is too thick for the intake hole and the coil does not to get saturated at the rate you vape, and when you taste burnt it's because your coil is burning due to not being covered sufficiently. The coil has to be always wet for a proper vape. If your CBD is thick and molasses-like, you should get a vape with a ceramic heater

· Not Priming your Cart before smoking will lead to the oil not fully saturating the coil and can also lead to a dry hit.

· Using too high Voltage. Generally, vape pens have different settings and they can be changed to meet your needs

PLEASE NOTE:

We always assume our customers are using lab-tested extracts with high %purity.

This is key to making a good quality product as lower % products generally will cause issues with the end products
