Alpha-phellandrene Terpene Isolate gets its name from Eucalyptus phellandra (now called Eucalyptus Radiata),1 from which it can be isolated. It is also an element of the essential oil of Eucalyptus dives.
It is easily absorbed, making it a common additive to a host of cosmetic products and fragrances because of its pleasing aromas.
Before the phellandrenes were discovered, these compounds were assumed to be pinene and limonene due to their similar characteristics.
The phellandrenes are most prominent in eucalyptus, but also found in herbs and spices including in allspice, lavender, black pepper, cinnamon, pine, mint, water fennel, dill, and cannabis.
